Claire Dearing is the former Operation Manager at the now closed Jurassic World. She was in charge of the park during the 2015 Jurassic World Incident until Simon Masrani's death, after which the Masrani Global Board reassigned emergency operations to InGen Security.

Reminiscing sometime later, Grady blamed their incompatible on Claire's 'uptightness', citing her need for an Itinerary and unwillingness to drink Tequila. Dearing retaliated blaming Grady's lack of appropriate attire and laid back attitude. There was no second date.

At the behest of Simon Masrani, Dearing approached Grady to inspect the Indominus Rex Paddock for flaws.
