The Jurassic World Lagoon was a man made reservoir at the center of Jurassic World at Isla Nublar in Sector 3. It was formed from one of the island's two rivers and connected to it by means of a large gate. As well as being a swimming area to hotel guests it was also home to the park's resident Mosasaurus.
The Lagoon was infiltrated by a team of mercenaries sometime after the park's abandonment. Though successful in their mission to recover a sample from the fallen Indominus Rex, the group suffered losses and failed to re-secure the Lagoon's gate, allowing the Mosasaur to escape into the ocean.

For Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, two sets were built to represent the ruins of the Jurassic World Lagoon. The first, constructed in the former National Gas Turbine Establishment in Pyestock, UK. only used for the films exposition in which a team of Mercenaries infiltrate the lagoon to recover a DNA sample from the remains of the Indominus Rex. The finished set represented a condensed version of the West Boardwalk, omitting the Dave & Buster's Arcade.
