Jurassic World

Pre-Production

The approved Gyrosphere was designed by Ron Mendell who created all of the drawings and 3D designs.

Production

A total of three gyrospheres were built for the production of Jurassic World, one attached to a gimbal, for use in the studio in New Orleans, and two for use in Hawaii.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Pre-Production

Concept art for the destroyed Gyrospheres was created by Greg Fangeaux. A total of 6 destroyed Gyrospheres were constructed for use in the film, cast in foam and built around metal armatures that could be individually bent to give each Gyrosphere a unique damaged look.
