The Emergency Bunker was a secure storage space located in the Main Compound of Jurassic Park, opposite the Visitors' Center. It was designed as an impenetrable safe room for Staff and Visitors in case of an emergency.

History

The Jurassic Park Incident

At the insistence of John Hammond, Ray Arnold shutdown the Jurassic Park System, inadvertently tripping the Park's circuit breakers. Whilst Arnold went to the Maintenance Shed to restore power, Hammond requested that the others gather in the Emergency Bunker until power was restored. Becoming increasingly nervous with how long Arnold had been gone, Ellie Sattler decided that something must have gone wrong and that she would go and get the power back on herself. Hammond initially protested but changed his mind after Robert Muldoon retrieved a Spas-12 from the weapons supply and volunteered to go with her.
