The Terc Merc was a mercenary employed by the Lockwood Foundation for their expedition to Isla Nublar shortly after the Jurassic World Incident. Though successful in recovering the sample from Indominus Rex's remains, he lost his life to the Mosasaurus whilst fleeing the island's native Tyrannosaur, Rexy.
