Amanda Kirby was the wife of Amanda Kirby and mother of Eric Kirby. After her son became stranded on Isla Sorna following a parasailing accident, she, along with her husband, organised a rescue mission to the island coercing renowned paleontologist Alan Grant into joining. Due to a severe miscalculation by their security escort they also became stranded on island, however they did eventually find their son and were rescued by members of the US Armed Forces.
