Paul Kirby was the owner of Kirby Paint & Tile Plus in Enid, Oklahoma. He was also the husband of Amanda Kirby and father of Eric Kirby. After his son became stranded on Isla Sorna following a parasailing accident, he organised a rescue mission to the island coercing renowned paleontologist Alan Grant into joining.
