Deleted Scenes

InGen Board Room

This scene was partially restored in an exclusive broadcast of the film on Fox in 1998 as part of a deal between Universal Pictures and Fox.

Extended Hammond's Bedroom

Another missing section of this scene was used in the documentary The Return of Steven Spielberg.

Mombassa Bar

This scene was completely restored in an exclusive broadcast of the film on Fox in 1998 as part of a deal between Universal Pictures and Fox.

Extended Finding Sarah

After finding Sarah's pack, Nick suggests splitting up to which Malcolm immediately dismisses it.

Alternate Trailer Attack

Scene 87

Alternate Rope Climb

In an alternate version of scenes 103, 105 and 107 after Eddie throws the rope down to Ian, Sarah and Nick, it becomes stuck on a table up above them. Nick climbs up to free it a throws it down to Ian and Sarah. The rest of the sequence plays out similarly to the final cut, with only Ian and Sarah sliding down the rope out of the bottom of the trailer and having to climb back up.

Filming of this scene took place on Day 31 of production.

Alternate Rex Raid

Scene 135 and 137

Malcolm feels the vibrations of the approaching Rexes, Roland rushes to join him. For a moment he thinks they're safe, then they hear it again. As the hunters begin to flee around them, Roland attempts to shoot the Rexes, not realising Nick has unloaded his gun. Malcolm chastises him for not loading it.

Filming of this scene took place on Day 33 of production. It appears as though reshoots were done on Day 38 to remove Malcolm and Roland's interaction.
